Some of the venues from the 1964 Olympics will be refurbished and reused for the occasion, such as the Nippon Budokan. The government has allotted 400 billion yen for upgrades and building projects such as renovations on several highways. There is also a plan to build a new railway line connecting Narita Airport, Haneda Airport, and Tokyo Station, reducing travel times and making access easier. This project will mostly be supported by private investors.
