            About a minute walk from the Miyajima Pier for the ferry you will find the Miyajima Traditional Handicrafts Hall, which is a small center showcasing the arts practiced on the island. The first floor has a gallery with displays and also items for sale, including engraved trays and tea utensils, paper mache, and ceramic bells.

The two most famous crafts produced on the island are shakushi rice scoops and momiji manjou pastries. Visitors can try their hand at making these on the second and third floors of the building.
