Halloween is a special time at Tokyo Disneyland! From September 9 to October 31, 2013, there will be special events and activities all over the park. Disneyland will be decorated with an autumn country theme, complete with pumpkins, scarecrows, wagons of hay, tractors and more. Disney ghosts will make their annual debut, and characters have seasonal costumes and special photo opportunities.
Special activities include a Halloween theme for kids at the Super Duper Jumpin’ Time Show at the Plaza Pavilion Bandstand. The Haunted Mansion has a “Holiday Nightmare” theme which will run from September 9, 2013 to January 5, 2014. Be sure to participate in the pumpkin search as you enjoy walking around the park.
“Happy Halloween Harvest” is the theme of a special parade designed for this year’s event. There are seven new floats such as a giant pumpkin lab, a line dance with little pumpkins, and a sweets shop. The parade will perform twice daily on the usual parade route. This video of the “Happy Halloween Harvest” at Tokyo Disneyland was shot on the first day (Sep.9, 2013) and was shot in front of Cinderella’s Castle.
The parade will stop three times: in the plaza, between Westernland and Fantasyland, and between Tomorrowland and Toontown. In each of these places, the characters will involve visitors in the dancing.
Treats featured in the sweets shop float will be available in the stores, along with other seasonal merchandise. Get collector items with the Disney characters in their Halloween regalia. Some of the 330 seasonal items are only available at Disneyland itself, whereas others can be purchased at various places throughout the resort.
Food carts and restaurants will also have special dishes in keeping with the Halloween theme. Disney Halloween is a fun event for the entire family. For more information: http://www.tokyodisneyresort.co.jp/en/event/halloween2013/tdl/index.html
