Universal Studios Japan: Jurassic Park
The Jurassic Park theme area in Universal Studios Japan is built around one attraction, the Jurassic Park Ride. Though this area is designed for the adventurous, it can be a quick stop and good photo opportunity for younger visitors who like dinosaurs. Enter the stone gate with the burning torches to find a lake surrounded by the jungle.
Jurassic Park Cookies
To the left of the entrance is the Discovery Restaurant, which is worth stepping inside to see the dinosaur skeleton replica under the wooden dome. The menu is hearty carnivore fare. The Jurassic Outfitters is a gift shop where you can pick up dinosaur themed souvenirs. The ride itself is one of the most popular in the park and often has long lines, but the area sets the tone with good attention to detail.
