Jurassic Park Ride at Universal Studios Japan
Based on the Jurassic Park movies, this ride is a thrilling adventure. Visitors ride a boat set in a track through many dioramas with animatronic dinosaurs. You start outside in an idyllic prehistoric setting, but then the ride takes a sinister turn. It enters a building where predators are rampant and threatening the boat, which seats 25 people. The ride lasts about 7 minutes, but the drop at the end lasts only seconds. It is a 25.9 meter (about 85 feet) plunge back outside and is sure to please the thrill-seeking!

This ride is not appropriate for young children. As well as menacing dinosaurs and final plunge, there are loud noises and flashing lights in the darkness of the building. You should not board if you have neck or back problems, motion sickness, claustrophobia, or are pregnant. There is a minimum height restriction of 122 cm (about 48 inches), though children over 107 cm (about 42 inches) are permitted with a guardian. Photos and videos are not allowed during the ride, but you can buy souvenir copies of ones taken by the studio during your ride.

Passengers can get very wet, especially those riding in the front rows of the boat. Despite the restrictions, this is a very popular ride among teenagers and action-seeking adults. It often has long lines, so consider using the Express Pass.
