Critics complain that the Back to the Future ride in the San Francisco theme area of USJ needs an update, changing the setting from Hill Valley, California in 2015 to a time more distant. Suspend your disbelief and enjoy a fun, 10-minute roller coaster ride with plenty of special effects. Dodge an avalanche and volcano, even dinosaurs while traveling in a flying car. Fans of the Back to the Future movies will enjoy seeing familiar details along the way and in fact this ride is the only one left in the Universal Parks now that the Orlando and Los Angeles ones have been closed.
The roller coaster has many sharp turns, sudden accelerations, upturns and falls. Passengers must be able to hold the safety rail and remain upright throughout the motion. There is a minimum height restriction of 122 cm (about 48 inches), though those 102 cm (about 40 inches) and up can ride with a guardian. People with heart, neck, or back problems should not ride, neither should pregnant women or infants. This ride is not recommended for anyone scared of the dark or sudden loud noises.
The Express Pass is recommended to avoid lines, as this is a popular ride. Though not suitable for young family members, it is a good choice for teenagers and up.
