Fans of the movie Shrek may enjoy seeing a totally new movie featuring Shrek and his donkey. Not only are there 3D glasses, but viewers experience scenes through all senses, with bubbles, dust, and seat movements adding reality to the action. The 25 minute show is packed with action involving favorite characters from the movie, but if you do not understand Japanese, the story may be hard to follow.
This video is all in Japanese and a few years old but lively and fun and will give you a good sense of the Shrek 4D show.
Because of the special effects, people with heart, neck, or back problems should not attend. Neither should those with sensitive skin or respiratory problems. Pregnant women and newborns are not allowed into the show. Shrek’s 4D adventure show in Universal Studios Japan is popular, so lines are long and the Express Pass is recommended for those who want to view it. The theater seats 324 people. However, if your family does not have a special interest in the characters, it might be better to skip this attraction in favor of ones that do not require an understanding of Japanese.
