This small section of the park can only be reached through Westernland, and really is a subset of that area. Though small, it is incredibly charming, with cute animal houses filling all the little corners. Splash Mountain is the main attraction, and because of the popularity, most of the space is dedicated to the ride. While waiting, you can enjoy nice views of the Rivers of America and the Western River Railroad.
The Beaver Brothers Canoes are also in Critter Country, but with Splash Mountain so prominent, you may not even notice the path to the left that goes under the railroad tracks to the boarding area. You will also find Rackety’s Raccoon Saloon in this section, tucked among the well-done landscaping. The saloon features soft drinks and ice cream which can be a good way to cool off after paddling a canoe.
The only other restaurant in Critter Country is Grandma Sara’s Kitchen. Though it is also counter service, it has full meals and abundant indoor seating in a cave decorated like a little country house.
