Join Sinbad and his tiger cub, Chandu, on an indoor, 10-minute voyage recounting his adventures. Passengers ride boats through elaborate scenes with fluid animatronic displays. See mermaids and pirates, a genie and whales. Some characters speak in Japanese, but if you don’t understand the language, you can still enjoy the uplifting story set to the catchy music, “The Compass of your Heart” written by Alan Menken which will really stick in your mind. You’ve heard his other music in The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Aladdin, Hercules, Tangled and many others.
Each boat seats 24 passengers, and there are no boarding restrictions. Even guests in wheelchairs can ride by transferring to a special seat. Flash photography is prohibited. Because this attraction is not based around a Disney movie or character, it does not have the same fanatical following, so lines are often shorter than most at the park. Sinbad’s Storybook Voyage in the Arabian Coast area at DisneySea might be too sweet for a cynical teenager, but is an excellent chance for even the youngest family members to go on a ride together.
