Take a ride on a steam-powered paddle wheel boat on the DisneySea Transit Steamer Line around the waterways of DisneySea. The small fleet recreate traditional American river boats of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The decks are low for easy boarding, and there are canopies to keep off the sun or rain. The captain gives a narration in Japanese about the scenery you pass, but you can easily enjoy the view without it.
Not only is this a fun ride with a great view of the park waterfronts, but it is also an efficient way to get from one theme area to another. One leg of the cruise starts in Mediterranean Harbor, a charming Italian port complete with olive trees and pastel buildings. Steamers carry 49 passengers and run to Lost River Delta in a course that takes about 7 minutes. It is possible to ride in the opposite direction as well, but you can not make the round trip without getting off and standing in line. There are also steamer lines that run around the park from the American Waterfront.
The steamers have no boarding restrictions, but be aware that they do not run when shows are being set up or performed in Mediterranean Harbor.
