A Japanese restaurant may seem out of place on the American Waterfront with its early 20th century theme, but Restaurant Sakura was inspired by a real location where immigrant workers gathered. It is a bit expensive but has excellent, authentic food. The choices are straightforward, so this is a good place to sample the cuisine for a foreigner who is hesitant about new foods. There is even sake or wine for adults to enjoy.
The restaurant is surprisingly popular and the 440 seats are usually filled, so consider using the priority seating option. There is a children’s menu, making this a nice choice for the whole family
