Take a stroll around the American Waterfront in Tokyo DisneySea and savor all the details recreating the Northern Seaboard at the turn of the 20th century. There are two main sections in this theme area, one with the feel of old New York City, and the other Cape Cod, complete with lighthouse. There is only one major ride, the Tower of Terror, which looms in the background of the New York section.
The SS Columbia is another prominent feature of this area. Take time to walk through the luxury steamship, even if you do not plan on dining in either of the two restaurants. The ship also houses the Turtle Talk attraction, though that might be more interesting for guests who understand Japanese.
There are plentiful restaurants and shops which are fun to browse through. There is a greeting place for photos with Duffy the Bear. American Waterfront also has live shows at Broadway Theater, Dockside Stage, and Cape Cod Cook-Off, so is a good choice for entertainment and dining. Because much of the American Waterfront is tailored for an older audience, very young children might prefer a different section of the park.
