Alice’s Tea Party at Tokyo Disney
Take a spin in a teacup on this classic carnival-style ride and feel like you have entered the world of the Mad Hatter! in Alice’s Tea Party in Fantasyland, brightly-colored lanterns are suspended from a blue canopy overhead, and the central axis is a teacup topped by the sleepy dormouse. A giant platter with pastel designs forms the base, and on it rest individual saucers with decorated teacups that seat four people. You can control both the speed and direction of the cup using a wheel in the middle. The cups automatically brake so they do not move when boarding and exiting.
Though the ride only lasts about one and a half minutes, it can be very disorienting if you choose to use the wheel vigorously. For younger children, a more sedate ride may be more appropriate. Because you can vary the intensity, this ride is an excellent choice for all family members. However, you might consider avoiding it if you get motion sickness, and plan for your meals after riding, not directly before getting on.
