Mark Twain Riverboat in Disneyland Tokyo
Take a relaxing cruise of American rivers on Mark Twain’s riverboat. Sometimes referred to as “a floating palace” because of the luxurious details, this traditional paddle boat is so big that it is required by law to be registered.
The 12-minute ride takes you through Westernland and Critter Country, so you can see many of the major attractions such as Big Thunder and Splash Mountains. You go past wildlife and greenery, and even an Indian village. Though the boat has a large capacity, seating about 475 depending upon the weather conditions, it is very popular so you might not get the best view. Try for the top left side of the three decks. Even if you can’t understand the captain’s narration with amusing stories, you can still enjoy the ride with its country music during the day. After dark, the theme shifts and the music is romantic, attracting many young Japanese couples. No matter what time of day, this ride is a good choice for even very young children.
