Penny Arcade
Take a trip down memory lane in the Penny Arcade at the World Bazaar area in Tokyo Disneyland, which features about 20 authentic mechanical arcade games from early 20th century America. Even though kids today are used to high tech video games, there is something appealing about operating levers and buttons to make things happen in the display…shooting golf balls in a little course, hitting a baseball with a wooden bat. It is amazing to think about the engineering required to operate some of the intricate machines.
The longest lines are at the “Penny Press” which uses copper blanks to make commemorative coins. These feature whatever special event is going on at the park. These are highly collectible souvenirs of a Tokyo Disney visit.
Penny Arcade machines cost 10 to 100 yen to play.
