The Diamond Horseshoe at Tokyo Disneyland Resort
You’ll find the Diamond Horseshoe on a corner near the Hub in Westernland at Disneyland Japan. The delightful old West exterior is continued in careful detail throughout the interior of this live theater restaurant. Two floors of tables overlook the stage with its thick red, velvet curtains. Shows change, but there are two offered each day, a lunch show tailored towards children and a dinner show more for adults.
The current lunch time show is called “Horseshoe Roundup.” Characters from “Toy Story” have a hoe down with plenty of singing and dancing. Woody and Jessie, and even Woody’s horse Bullseye, take part in the action. The show lasts 45 minutes, so sit back, enjoy your meal while watching.
The evening show at the moment is called, “The Diamond Horseshoe Presents ‘Mickey & Company’.” It is another musical show with a plot designed for an older audience. Slue Foot Sue, who owns the Diamond Horseshoe, has invited Mickey, Minnie, and other characters to perform at her restaurant. But while regaling the audience with music and magic, they realize that the maitre d’ is in love with Sue. So the company does their best to get him to state how he feels to her. Maybe you and the rest of the audience will be able to help!
Donald Duck is the chef in the evening performance, and his menu on stage is reflected in the dinner eaten by the guests. Dessert is even in the shape of his head.
You must make reservations in advance for both the lunch and dinner shows. Currently the process is done online and only in Japanese, but a good hotel concierge should help if you are interested in attending.
