Tokyo Disneyland Events
Along with rides and other attractions, Tokyo Disneyland is famous for its live performances. Most dramatic are the parades which circle the park, one during the day and one at night. The standard parade route begins next to the Haunted Mansion in Fantasyland, progresses counterclockwise around the Hub, then disappears into Toon Town. Parades are very popular and some people start staking out their viewing point up to several hours in advance.
Live musical shows, complete with elaborate costumes, good music, and dancing, are another major draw for the park. There are five venues that feature popular Disney characters in seven performances. Venues vary from an amphitheater with bench seating to elegant dinner theaters. Themes match the attraction area they are in. Some shows are designed for little children, others for older members of the family. Like the parades, shows can be extremely popular with long waits. Many require advance reservations, so check in advance for entry procedures if there is one you particularly want to see.
Fireworks grace the night with a magical performance set to music. You can enjoy the show from many areas in the park, but the best views that include Cinderella Castle fill up early.
All of the shows vary regularly, changing theme to fit the season and events in the park. Christmas and Halloween shows are especially popular and have even longer lines than usual. No matter which ones you see, the performance will be high quality with breathtaking costumes and great music, adding wonderful memories to your Disneyland visit.
