Tomorrowland was Walt Disney’s vision of the future, and unfortunately with the speed of technological innovation and expense of renovating attractions, time has caught up and the general impression is that you have entered a science fiction movie from the 1980’s. Even though it is no longer cutting edge imagery, there is a nostalgic value to the glittering white Space Mountain and other futuristic sets. Star Tours has a particularly fun exterior, looking much like a space shuttle hangar ought to look in modern imagination.
Showbase, which holds some of the park’s most popular live shows, is also located in Tomorrowland. If you want to see a show, arrive early because seating is usually hard to come by.
There are multiple counter-service eateries in Tomorrowland, but the best by far is the Pan Galactic Pizza Port. Serving pizza and a few side dishes, the food is quite good and there is plenty of indoor seating. Be sure to take a trip to the second floor to see the “automated pizza-making machine” even if you do not plan to have a meal.
