Toon Town sprang into being after the release of the movie, “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” Cartoon characters in the movie all had lives off-screen and lived in a place called “Toon Town.” This section of the park runs with the idea and brings the characters to life. If imagine the home of cartoons to be a bit bizarre, you will not be disappointed. There are hardly any straight lines on any of the asymmetrical, brightly colored buildings. Keep your eyes peeled for odd little details, and don’t be surprised if some things you touch react in some way, like making noise or moving.
There are several wagons offering different snacks like popcorn and ice cream, but there is only one restaurant in Toon Town, the Huey, Dewey, and Louie’s Good Times Cafe. If your heart is set on a Mickey Mouse shaped pizza or burger, then this is your place. Otherwise, you might consider eating in the other areas of the park because the prices are higher to reflect the novelty. The Good Times Cafe has counter service and some outdoor seating, but very little that is shaded, and none indoors.
