Westernland is a slice of America’s Wild West imported to Japan. One half of the area is a little town, and the other is a wilderness populated by wild animals and Indians. Stroll around the town and enjoy the humorous signs as well as other traditional details like the wooden Indian and a few covered wagons.
The focal point of the wilderness is Big Thunder Mountain, a popular roller coaster attraction. Consider a ride on Mark Twain’s River Boat for a relaxing break with a great view of this area of the park. You might also want a meal at the Lucky Nugget Cafe, not so much for the chicken and fries, but for the view. The restaurant has counter service and you eat at tables overlooking the Rivers of America. Because it is set back between the rivers and the mountain, it is often less crowded than other dining venues.
