Nightlife & Entertainment in Singapore

TIME : 2016/2/24 13:45:43
Chic, sultry, and exotic, Singapore’s nightlife allows you to segue effortlessly from day to night with a sundowner at a rooftop bar, before dancing to a DJ set. Just be sure to pace yourself, because nights here are long.

Colonial-era lounges

Home to one of the world’s most famous hotels, the original Raffles, Singapore preserves its colonial past in refined lounges and bars which serve the highest quality cocktails, fine spirits, and luxury cigars. But for an authentic Singapore Sling, Raffles is the only place to go.

Raffles Long Bar

Exuding colonial grandeur, this iconic institution is a must at least once on your Singapore trip. It’s the kind of place where you can dress to the nines and you won’t be out of place. The wood-panelled Long Bar was once frequented by Rudyard Kipling, and it’s the birthplace of the original, intoxicating Singapore Sling.

Rooftop bars

Singapore’s sunsets are legendary, so what better way to enjoy it than by settling in at a rooftop bar and watching the show with a chilled tipple of something delicious? The waterfront boasts the best of the bunch, and there are new ones, with ever-fancier ideas, popping up all the time.

LeVel 33

Taking beer to new heights, LeVel 33 is officially the highest craft brewery in the world. It’s situated right on Marina Bay, on the 33rd floor of Financial Centre Tower, so the whole of Singapore is spread out below you as the sun goes down and the city starts to twinkle. It’s worth it for the excellent beers too.

Breeze at the Scarlet

Atop the Scarlet, a luxury, boutique hotel at the heart of Chinatown, is the Breeze bar. Offering a different cityscape to that of Marina Bay, with traditional Chinese architecture and the glimmer of lanterns far below, it’s a romantic, cosy spot. Snuggle up on a comfy daybed and sip a cocktail as the stars come out.

Encompassing 5 clubs in one venue, it’s renowned for incredible DJ sets, hosting the likes of David Guetta and other global stars. The heart of Chinatown is the large, bustling market, which will assault your senses with its cavalcade of performers, colourful knick-knacks, and the more unusual delicacies to be found in Chinese cuisine. It comes together to form a rich experience, made all the better when lit up and lively at night.
