Adorable! Fresh Baked Goods! Locally made Art! Clean Toilets! All of the perfect reasons to take a Driver Reviver stop at the BlueBelle Café and Cottage Nursery in Deepwater, NSW.
DeepWater is a tiny little village between Glen Innes (Celtic Standing Stones) and Tenterfield (wineries) in the Northern part of NSW known as New England. A cheery pot bellied stove kept court over the dining room which was overrun by stuffed animals, paintings, preserves, marinated olives, and linens- all locally made.
The ladies, Elaine and Anne, who run the Café were an absolute delight- they hand make all of the items you see on the tantalizing menu. While being a coeliac- I couldn’t eat any of the delectable looking baked goods- I was certainly most impressed. Even though the baked goods were out of bounds- there were plenty of lunch items that I could have eaten. Nice clean bathrooms completed this ideal roadside stop. If you happen to be looking for a shrubbery (think Monty Python) the attached cottage nursery would be a good place to find one. 02 6734 5477
