For 31 days, the characters from everyone's favourite Disney films (especially the villains) will be coming out to entertain adults and children alike in a spooky festival, which runs from the 2nd of October to the 1st of November 2010.
The Disney Halloween Party is one of the scariest, darkest nights of the Disneyland Paris calendar. Upon entering the park, guests will be startled by the spooky transformation of Disneyland into Halloweenland in celebration of this year's festival.
To get you into the true spirit of Halloween's festivities, Disney have cooked up some devilish songs and dances to really help guests get wrapped up in the Halloween mood. Other eerie events include spine-chilling shows, frightening face painting, street entertainment and a huge amount of creepy crawly and terrifying tricks and treats - all guaranteed to be a scream!
There are a number of parades to get things going.
The 'Fantillusion Parade' is where the world of darkness, led by some of Disney's most frightening villains, meets the enchanted world in an explosive twilight spectacular. The 'Bewitching Parade' is also set to thrill with Gaston from Ratatouille and Jafar from Disney's classic Aladdin leading the way. The mischievous pumpkin people will be handing out treats and maybe even pulling the odd trick or two! The famous and much loved 'Once Upon a Dream Parade' also receives a Halloween twist this year with a new-entry float - 'Dreams of Tricks or Treats'.
This frightful float is swamped with some of the newest and scariest Disney creations, including Dr Facilier from the animated film Princess and the Frog, Cruella De Vil from 101 Dalmatians, and the much-remembered villains Ratcliffe and Shan-Yu from Pocahontas and Mulan.
The Disneyland Paris Halloween Party is also set to include an amazing sound and light show for the whole family.
This event is set to wow the crowds with characters, animations, pyrotechnics and fireworks, all under the pale moonlight of Halloween itself, 31st October, against the backdrop of Sleeping Beauty's Castle. If that isn't enough for you, you can be spell-bound by 'baddies' cooking up a spell or two at the Disney Witches Dancing Spells Party.
Maleficent and the Old Hag from Snow White appear mysteriously during the night in a cemetery and have fun with cauldrons in a true 'witchy' style, inventing new spells and potions where innocent bystanders (although cleverly choreographed into the show) are transformed according to the potion ingredients. The special effect are sure to create the perfect spine-tingling atmosphere.
Other exclusive festival events include 'Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party'. Running from 8pm until 11pm, it's a slightly less scary event that's suitable for young children.
It's not just for kids though - it's perfect for people of all ages who want to dress up and have some family fun. This event is populated by a host of Disney characters and villains to really interact and create an experience that's exciting and truly unforgettable.
It's not just Mickey though - Minnie also has a Halloween Party Train, which is decorated in true Halloween style with the addition of spooky sound effects.
Another event not to miss is 'Terrorific Night 2', which takes place on the 30th of October from 9pm to 1am (not suitable for under 12s). Here, guests will experience one of the darkest, most deadliest nights at the Walt Disney Studios Park. The attractions are open exclusively for guests, with gruesome creatures, monstrous characters and other-worldly spooks haunting the abandoned park. You must be prepared to jump out of your skin in this park of horrors!
To keep guests entertained hour upon hour, pumpkin people will be dotted around the park to create a storm of orange mischief. Even Jack Skellington and Sally the ragdoll from Tim Burton's Nightmare before Christmas will be making an appearance to captivate guests in ways only they know how.
You can guarantee there won't be a dull moment! Attractions will also stay open extra late from 8.30pm until 1am, meaning you can fill up on tricks, treats, thrills and spell-binding surprises at night by the glow of pumpkin light.
There is something for everyone at the 2010 Halloween Festival in Disneyland Paris .
