If you’re on a 10-day vacation in Paris, there’s absolutely no reason not to include a three-day jaunt to Provence. It gives you a nice break from city life, for one. It also lets you see a whole other side of France, which allows for a deeper understanding of a country you’ll surely visit again. And it’s just downright beautiful! (For the purposes of this article, we’ll simply ignore the fact that there’s no such place called Provence. Deal?)
When you look at the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region on a map, though, it can get understandably overwhelming to narrow down your choices to fit into three days. That’s where this three-day Provence itinerary comes in handy! Here are some fantastic ideas that will have you heading down south the next time you find yourself in France!
The three “main” towns in Provence – Arles, Avignon and Aix-en-Provence – are perfect for a three-day itinerary. But I understand that sometimes, it all depends on finding the perfect little bed & breakfast to decide on your base town. If that’s you, then check out hotels in Arles, Avignon and Aix-en-Provence:

Provence may seem like a kind of relaxing place where frankly not a lot happens, but the truth is that you can do as little or as much as you want. If you’re more of a get-up-and-go traveler, then you’ll want to check out these ideas for a “do and see” mini-vacation:
