Mathew Street
Matthew Street is just north of Liverpool ONE, and it's where the Beatles Shop and the boutique Cavern Walks Shopping Centre can be found. Going to Liverpool just isn’t the same without paying homage to the Fab Four, and the Beatles Shop is bursting with limited edition records and kitschy merchandise. Elliot Street
Elliott Street bisects two of the biggest shopping malls in the central Liverpool area – St John’s Market and Clayton Square. From high street fashion brands to electrical stores, there's plenty to explore if you love hitting the streets and searching for a bargain. With the two malls so close to each other, there's a rather dizzying number of retailers to pop into, and of course there's the reliable set of restaurants and fast food nooks to duck into whenever hunger strikes. You'll also be just a short amble from the train station, so it's ideal if you're on the last leg of your trip.
Metquarter
Standing in Whitechapel, Metquarter's sleek, glassy exterior is appropriate: inside, you'll find a suave shopping destination filled with high end fashion stores, from international designers to the best of British. You might be here to splash the cash and treat yourself to some uber-elegant accessories, or you might just fancy window shopping in style. Either way, it's a great destination, and the pop-up shops also make a pleasingly quirky alternative to the established stores.
