Pigeon Forge’s Titanic Museum provides an extraordinary interactive experience of one of man’s greatest seafaring disasters. An entrancing adventure for the whole family, the museum – which is actually shaped like the Titanic – takes you on a journey back in time to the opulence of the ill-fated liner. There are more than 400 artifacts to browse and learn about, plus an evocative recreation of the ship’s Grand Staircase to tread. You can also test out a realistic ship steering simulation, learn how to send SOS signals, and feel for yourself the sharp bite of 28-degree water.

It’s high-tempo, feel-good stuff that will stay with you for weeks afterwards. The theatre plays host to visiting celebrity musicians throughout the year.
Dollywood’s Splash Country
There can be little better on a busy, action-packed vacation in the sun than cooling down without having to slow down: cue Dollywood’s Splash Country. Widely considered to be one of the best water parks in the whole of the US, this wet and wild wonderland is just the ticket for anyone partial to a quick splash. As well as surging down near vertical slides with gallons of gushing water in tow, you can dip in and out of a choice of pools. Of course, you don’t have to throw yourself into the excitement of the amusements. There’s nothing at all wrong with kicking back and taking it easy on a comfortable lounger in the shade.
