Now in its third year, the Chicago Gourmet celebration brings together some of Chicago’s best chefs. Described by some as a “rich man’s Taste of Chicago,” the event is a highlight for any Chicago foodie. The event will be held from September 24-26 and will include food and drink tastings, celebrity-chef demos, seminars, book signings and more.
The kick-off event on Friday, September 24 will be the burger cook-off from 6-9pm at the Harris Theatre Rooftop. Hosted by Allen Brothers Steaks and MillerCoors’ Blue Moon, the event will feature Bon Appétit Executive Chef Cat Cora and Chef Art Smith of Table 52 and costs $75 per person.
Other events that are part of Chicago Gourmet will be held Saturday and Sunday at Millennium Park. The full schedule has not been announced, but the cost is $150 for a one day pass or $250 for a two day pass. Two 90-minute Grand Cru tastings, which will feature “the finest wines in the world, as selected by our Master Sommeliers” will be held, costing $175 per person with attendance limited to 200 each event.
