Many sights are available during the ride down the volcano, including the sun rising or setting over the sea, an extraordinary view of the mist over the mountains, a view of Haleakala’s crater as the sun rises, and much more. The company offers their own custom bikes for this adventure, providing comfort and safety while riding. Although risks are involved with this activity, Cruiser Phil’s offers as much safety mechanisms and tips as possible.
The bike ride itself is about 28 miles long downhill, making the trip about 2 hours in length. Before setting out, bikers will be provided with a delectable continental breakfast and all equipment needed for the ride. Equipment includes customized bikes, helmets, windbreaker suits, winter jackets, and insulated gloves.

What to Expect
Those who wish to plan their vacation with Cruiser Phil’s Volcano Riders should not be inexperienced with biking. Closed toe shoes are required for this trip. Warmer clothing is recommended. Pregnant women will not be allowed on the trip. All riders must be over 5 feet tall and under 275lbs.
Hours of Operation
Cruiser Phil’s Volcano Riders pick guests up at their hotel at 6:00am, and usually return by 4:00pm.
Admission Cost.
The sunrise and morning tour with Cruiser Phil is $150. Customers who make their reservations online will only pay $130 for either trip. For trips without a guide provided, prices start at $69. All prices are subject to change.
