I absolutely love a good deal. Maybe I inherited this from my sale-finding father, who is the master when it comes to finding everything from discounted ski gear to $14 Levis, but I like to get anything and everything at marked down rates. I also love to travel, so when it comes to scoring a deal on anything travel related I’m even more elated. That’s when I saw this amazing deal offered on newly renovated beach studios on Napili Bay on Maui, I jumped at the opportunity to share it with you all.
The Mauian Hotel, which is a small boutique style hotel located on Maui’s Napili Bay is recently remodeled their beach studios. In honor of this remodel the hotel is offering heavily discounted rates in January for these newly-upgraded units. Garden view rooms (i.e. no ocean view) will be going for $130 per night instead of $155. The studio rooms, which have a full kitchen will be going for $150 instead of $175. While these $25.night discounts are not necessarily a screaming deal, I figure an extra $25 per night means an extra meal out, an extra cocktail or two out at the bar or maybe save up the money from your stay and take a dinner cruise or catamaran trip. Plus, this hotel sounds pretty sweet.
All of the rooms at the Mauian have private patios and the studios come with kitchens and hideaway sleeper beds (i.e. you can save some more cash by eating in a few nights and your kids can crash on the pull out). The remodel that the special rates for January are in honor of, included new stainless steel kitchen appliances, granite countertops in kitchen and bath, new glass ceramic stovetops, new furniture and Tempur-pedic beds.
However, if you are looking for a hotel where you can watch movies and listen to some island jams, the Mauian is not for you. To “preserve its character as a peaceful, beachfront hideaway” the Mauian does not have phones, stereos or television sets in the rooms. So, if you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the hotel for you. But, if you want to drink Mai Thais and have Hawaiian beach parties than this may not be the ideal place.
