Though it sits in the shadow of its bigger sister, Wynn Las Vegas, both in size and name recognition, Encore Las Vegas has managed to find its own place among the many Las Vegas hotels. Located adjacent to the Wynn, Encore is often skipped over by visitors to Sin City, but those who stop will find an intimate but sophisticated atmosphere decorated with bold colors and vibrant designs. Whether you book a stay at Wynn or Encore, you are welcome to take advantage of the amenities available at both properties.
Wynn was established before Encore Las Vegas, which was opened to the public on December 22, 2008. Though it may seem like simply an extension of Wynn Las Vegas, the resort fully supports itself with several restaurants, bars, nightclubs and gaming opportunities. As noted in the company’s overview of the property, “the environment is both uniquely Wynn and distinctly Encore.”
Whether you’re pining for casual chow or prefer something a little more upscale, most people will find something of interest among Encore’s dining choices. For several more options, just walk a few more steps to the Wynn, which has an even larger selection of restaurants and cafes.
Though Encore Las Vegas isn’t the largest hotel on the Strip, it certainly doesn’t lack anything when it comes to nighttime entertainment. In addition to several bars and lounges, Encore is home to two of the most popular nightclubs in all of Las Vegas.
You may be too busy partying the night away to realize that one of the biggest acts in all of Las Vegas is performing right down the hallway. The Encore Theatre is where Garth Brooks performs his shows, and, in addition to his fairly regular performances, there are other acts that come and go in this space. For more entertainment options, pop on over to Wynn for one of the most spectacular aquatic acrobatic shows in the city.
The Encore Beach Club is a popular attraction during the summer months, and another pool (open only to guests at the resort) is open year round. Though not known for its huge selection of shopping opportunities, there are a few shops in the Esplanade. Encore also has a spa, fitness center and salon.
As one of the nicer hotels in Las Vegas, Encore is ideal for adults, especially those in town on a romantic getaway. It is more intimate and romantic than other resorts on the Strip, which gives it sort of a sexy appeal. You pay for what you get.
This resort is packed with nightlife, and families will need to look elsewhere to keep the kids entertained.
