That said, it can also be a bit intimidating, which is why one of the most popular attractions for those in town for bachelorette parties and girlfriends getaways is a girls-only activity.
Stripper 101 is a seductive but fun class for women of all ages who want to have a good time while revealing their sexy selves in a non-threatening atmosphere. Named by Cosmopolitan as one of the top 16 ways to have a blast in Las Vegas, Stripper 101 delivers on its promise to turn an adventurous Las Vegas vacation into a memorable one. As a side bonus, it turns out that dancing like a stripper and learning how to pole dance are also an awesome workout for the body.
The class is an hour-long and taught several times a day. Led by a professional dancer, participants are led through a sexy warm-up routine, then proceed through lessons on lap dancing and pole dancing. At no point in time does anyone have to strip, so brides-to-be are welcome to keep their sashes and tiaras on.
Stripper 101 is a ridiculously popular activities for the ladies, and its not uncommon to pack 28 people into the pole dancing studio. Chances are you won’t get a pole to yourself, but you shouldn’t be here if you’re looking to perfect the nitty-gritties of the dance moves anyway. Though participants learn a few basic skills to take home with them and possibly work up a small sweat in the process, the point of the class is not to become a stripper over night. Rather, Stripper 101 gives women a safe place to show their sensual side in a fun and playful manner. If there’s one thing this class leaves women with it’s a feel-good sensation and a memory they’ll always share with their girlfriends.
At the conclusion of the class, every woman is encouraged to pick out a stripper name (a laminated list is circulated for those who need inspiration), and then everyone is rewarded with an official Las Vegas stripper license souvenir. Some instructors even hand out lollipops for prop assistance in future stripping performances. An additional souvenir stand allows women the opportunity to purchase t-shirts and a variety of sexy items.
Though the $39.99 price tag might discourage some women from signing up for the class, few people regret the time they’ve spent with their girlfriends. Come dressed to impress in comfortable workout clothes and either sneakers or high heels. Buy tickets in advance to reserve your spot, but arrive 45 minutes before your class starts.
Located at the V Theater in Planet Hollywood. Class times are Sunday through Thursday at 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.; Friday at 3:00 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.; and Saturday at 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Ladies must be 18 or older to participate.
