Not everyone who visits Las Vegas is looking for the stereotypical Sin City experience. Bright casinos, high-energy nightclubs and miles of shopping opportunities aren’t necessarily a draw for everyone, and if that’s the case for you, consider checking out Ravella Las Vegas.
Located 17 miles from the Las Vegas Strip on Lake Las Vegas, Ravella is an upscale property ideal for business meetings and conventions as well as visitors who truly want to get away from the glitz and glam of the city. Though offerings are not as robust as those at other Las Vegas hotels, Ravella offers a noteworthy spa, stunning views from every room and easy access to shopping, dining and entertainment options available at The Village Lake Las Vegas.
Ravella at Lake Las Vegas is a Dolce Hotel and Resort. It sits on 15 acres of the master-planned Lake Las Vegas development and occupies the space that formerly housed the Ritz Carlton. The grand opening for the property was February 11, 2011.
Guests staying at Ravella have easy access to entertainment and events hosted lakeside by The Village Lake Las Vegas. Throughout the spring, summer and autumn months, live entertainment such as jazz concerts can be found near the scenic lake. It is often common to encounter community events such as wine walks, beer festivals and boat races on the lake as well. The convenient location of The Village Lake Las Vegas means that Ravella guests are welcome to enjoy this entertainment just steps from their suites.
Daily diversions at Ravella are much more laid back than at other Las Vegas resorts. The Spa at Ravella is noteworthy for its picturesque location and comprehensive services, but guests are also welcome enjoy a hotel pool and water sports equipment. The Southshore Golf Club and shopping at The Village Las Vegas are also available to Ravella guests.
Though not normally noted when we write about hotels on WhyGo Las Vegas, it is worth making mention of the meeting and event space at Ravella Las Vegas because this is one of the resort’s biggest selling points. The property has nearly 39,000 square feet of meeting space with rooms that can accommodate 10 to 1,000 guests at a time.
Ravella’s diversity of meeting spaces also makes it an ideal location to host a wedding. In addition to a chapel (the only over-water chapel in Las Vegas, by the way), people can tie the knot in the garden, courtyard or lakeside pavilion or even on the beach. Venues for reception options are also numerous.
Ravella is heavily marketed toward the business traveler and for those who need to hold a meeting, convention or event. An on-site event planner can handle any and all event needs, making the planning process practically seamless for those in town for business. This resort is also an ideal for those who enjoy the likes of Palm Springs or Phoenix; it’s hot, sunny and relaxing without being pretentious or overwhelming. That said, there isn’t a whole lot to do at Ravella, so if you’re looking for action or something to keep the kids busy, this may not be the ideal Las Vegas hotel for you.
