Though we make an effort to keep Las Vegas travelers up-to-date on the latest information about traveling to Las Vegas, there are some things you can only really learn about or understand through personal contact. Say, for example, that you’re traveling with a small child and teenager; what Las Vegas hotel can you stay in that accommodates both of their needs? You might feel more confident in booking a room after talking to a parent who had been in a similar situation.
Or maybe you’re looking for a fun pool club to visit your first time in the city. Here at WhyGo Las Vegas, we can give you a rundown of Sin City’s pool clubs, but if you’re looking for more information, it’s sometimes best to ask someone directly about the nitty-gritty details: Does the pool serve a certain kind of beer? How early do I have to arrive to get a lounge chair? Where is the best place to sit so I’m not too far from the action but can still relax?
This is where BootsnAll Travelers Connect comes in. This new Facebook app allows you to connect with people who are locals to your travel destination. These are the people who can really dig in, help answer your questions and give advice (and if they don’t know the answers, they probably know someone who can help). The app also let’s you arrange meet ups with other travelers who will be in the area when you are. Even if you’re a seasoned traveler, it can ease the stress if you know there will be someone waiting on the other side ready to share a cab or catch a cup of coffee.
How does it work? It’s actually pretty easy. Login to your Facebook account and create a profile that notes where you’ll be traveling in upcoming months. Find locals in those destinations and start chatting. (Yep, I’m one of the Las Vegas locals … look me up before you visit!)
While you’re on Facebook, we invite you to “like” WhyGo Las Vegas as well.
