Ra Sushi Las Vegas Launches New MenuA favorite among visitors to the Fashion Show Mall, Ra Sushi is changing things up a bit by introducing 14 new menu items.

The most popular selections still remain on the menu, though three signature recipes were revised a bit. These are the Black Pepper Filet Medallions served atop wasabi mashed potatoes and shiitake mushrooms ($22.50), the Seared Ahi Tuna that is miso marinated and served rare ($20), and the Yuzu Halibut, which is braised in a creamy broth and served with spicy crispy rice.

Adding to the mix are six more appetizers, including “RA”ckin’ Shrimp (crispy rock shrimp served on a bed of mixed greens with a creamy ginger teriyaki dipping sauce for $10.50) and Pineapple Chicken (sauteed chicken with stiitake mushrooms, green and red peppers, onions and garlic, drizzled with a sweet pineapple teriyaki sauce for $8.50).

New sashimi selections include Kiwi Scallop Sashimi (sliced scallops and kiwi on top of a mango wasabi sauce with sauteed pine and cashew nuts drizzled with a mango-tobiko sauce for $9.50) and Tunacado (seared Ahi tuna dusted with Japanese rice crackers and black sesame seeds, served with fresh avocado and a creamy ponzu dipping sauce for $10.50).

The list of rolls gets fleshed out a bit, as well, with the addition of the New Zealand Roll (smoked salmon, cream cheese and mango rolled in rice and seaweed, then topped with scallops, kiwi and sauteed pine and cashew nuts with a drizzle of sweet eel and mango sauce for $10.50) and the Yellow Monkey Roll (roasted red peppers, marinated artichoke and cream cheese rolled in rice and seaweed, topped with mango and cashew nuts and drizzled with the eel and mango sauce for $9.50).

It seems as though mango and kiwi are the new flavors of the menu. Anybody hungry yet?

And to wash it all down, six new cocktails have been addedd to the drink list. These include the Cucumber Martini, Red Lotus and The Grape Escape for the subtle crowd; and for those who like to giggle when they order their drinks, the Bangin’ Blueberry, Moanin’ Mango and Effen Around.

RA Sushi is open from 11am until 2am every day, but the sushi bar closes at midnight. Get there between 4pm and 7pm Monday through Friday, and enjoy happy hour food and beverage specials from the menu, such as half-price appetizer choices and $1 hot sake..
