Actor Tony Danza has had a varied career, including boxing, TV sitcoms (“Taxi,” “Who’s The Boss”) and talk show, film and even Broadway. But he’s never been in a Vegas theater show…until now.
Monday night, Danza began his limited run in “The Producers” at the Paris resort, in the lead role of Max Bialystock. Danza had performed the same character in the Broadway version of the show, so he’s no stranger to role. But I’m sure he had to wonder how Vegas crowds would react to him. He needn’t have worried – I’m told he received a standing ovation at the end for his performance.
If you want to see for yourself, Danza will be with “The Producers” for at least the next five months. Tickets run $69 to $143.50 for the show which takes place Monday through Friday at 8pm, and 6pm and 9pm on Saturdays. Tickets can be reserved at the Paris Las Vegas box office, or by calling 702.946.4567.
The kind folks at Harrah’s were kind enough to send over these photos of Danza and the rest of the cast from “The Producers” onstage.
