Museu de Arte de Sao Paulo (MASP)

This museum is home to Sao Paulo’s most extensive collection of western art, as well as Brazilian, African and Asian art. Designed by Lina Bo Bardi, the modernist building was completed in 1968. The huge concrete and glass building is almost incased by large red concrete red beams, making it stand out and is considered a landmark of the city. Located on Paulista Avenue, the building represents modern Brazilian architecture. The museum is also the first Brazilian museum showcasing World War II art.

The Cultural Center is located right in the heart of the city, near the Musuem of Sacred Art and is listed as a historic site. Now, it is the home of Sao Paulo’s Symphony Orchestra where it hosts many concerts and events.
