The world is simply filled with places of beauty, some of which you may never have heard of. Some are man-made, while others are nature’s own creation, but all are worth a visit, at least, once in your life. Here are just ten of the stunningly beautiful places in the world that will take your breath away.

1. Cinque Terre, Italy

We kick off our tour of beautiful places in the world, with the villages of Cinque Terre in Italy. Set amongst some of the most stunning coastal scenery in the world, the five villages of Cinque Terre perch impossibly along the cliff tops. This is definitely the place to go, if you want to unwind and get away from it all.

2. Palau

Another one of 10 most beautiful places in the world is Palau. The republic of Palau is a series of lush green islands set in the crystal clear blue seas of the Western Pacific. On land, Palau has some of the most beautiful flora and fauna that Micronesia has to offer and below the waves there are some incredible coral reefs, blue holes and shipwrecks for scuba divers to delight at.

3. Waitomo Glow-worm Caves, New Zealand

If you ever visit New Zealand, then be sure to take a trip to the Waitomo Glow-worm Caves on the North Island. You can take an underground boat ride and marvel at the beauty of the millions of glow-worms that light up the sides of the caverns. It’s a breath-taking experience.

4. Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany

Set upon a rugged hill in Southwest Bavaria, Neuschwanstein Castle is a fairy-tale castle that looks like out came out of a Disney movie. The castle is set against a backdrop of mountains and, in the winter, it looks just like a Christmas card scene.

5. Horsetail Falls, Yosemite National Park

Horsetail Falls is a spectacular 1,000 foot high waterfall in Yosemite National Park, USA. The falls are an amazing sight at any time of day, but the beauty of Horsetail falls really comes pout when it catches the rays of the setting sun and looks like fire tumbling down the mountain side.

6. Split Pinnacle – Hunan, China

The split Pinnacle, in Hunan Province, China, looks like a scene that came straight out of the movie ‘Avatar’. A massive Colum of rock that rises from the ground, the split pinnace is an awe inspiring example of what mother nature can do.  If you get a chance, then visit Hunan Province, it’s said to be the most beautiful region of China.

7. Wind Cathedral, Namibia

Wind Cathedral in Namibia is another one of 10 most beautiful places in the world. Believed to be over 60 million years old, the sculptured sand dunes of the Wind Cathedral in the Namibian Dessert are a colourful array of pinks and oranges, and they tower up to nearly three hundred feet into the air. What’s more, the sand dunes are constantly shifting and changing shape, so you will never get the same scene twice, however many times you visit.

8. Cathedral Cove, New Zealand

Cathedral Cove is a beautiful beach and marine reserve located on New Zealand’s Coromandel Peninsula. The sea has carved out an amazing cavern in the rocks that links two different coves together and, just off shore, there is a wonderful rock pinnacle that has been eroded by the waves to look like the prow of a ship. It’s a bit of a hike to get down the cove, but certainly well worth the effort.

9. Antelope Canyon, Arizona

Our list of 10 most beautiful places in the world wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Antelope Canyon in Arizona. You won’t believe your eyes, when you see Antelope Canyon. The canyon has been eroded into some amazing swirling shapes by millions of years of water erosions, and you can wander through the narrow canyon and admire the unbelievable structures that nature has created here.

10. Copperfield Bay – Musha Cay, Bahamas

Musha Cay is one of the most beautiful islands in the world, so beautiful that the magician, David Copperfield, decided to buy it for himself. One of the features of Musha Cay is the amazing two mile long sand bar that stretches out into the clear blue sea. You can book to stay there if like, but when you do, you book the whole island to yourself and, it will set you back a cool $37,000 per night!
